Boulderwald means outdoor bouldering on real rock, in small groups, led by Daniel in person. Guided trips to Fontainebleau and Albarracin, outdoor courses and day tours across Germany. No plastic holds, no crowds, no delegating.

Day tours
Taunus, Odenwald, Eifel, Pfalz, Schwarzwald: from your first day on real rock to tackling your own lines. Daniel and his small team of coaches know the spots.
Fontainebleau
The mecca of bouldering: sandstone, forest and silence, an hour south of Paris. Several dates a season, and Daniel guides in person rather than delegating.
Albarracin
Red sandstone, Spanish sun. A week of warmth in spring or autumn, in a small group as always.
Teambuilding
Bouldering as a team event, something different from the high-ropes course. A good fit for companies, stag and hen dos and birthday groups too.

Boulderwald is owner-led and personal. I'm Daniel, a DAV-certified climbing instructor, and I've been out on real rock full time since 2019. When you book, you get me, not a rotating list of guides.
I keep the groups to a maximum of eight, not as a selling point but because that's the reason the whole thing works. I know every name and I see every move, so the coaching lands where it actually helps you.
In the gym you repeat holds. Out here you read the rock: friction, footwork, your own beta. More than 850 people have come along since 2019, and most of them want to come back.

Before you book.
I've never bouldered outdoors. Is that okay?
Yes. Our outdoor courses are made exactly for that. You don't need your own crash pad or any experience on rock: gym bouldering is enough of a base. Daniel takes you through it step by step.
What's included in the price?
Everything you need for the day or the trip, with no hidden extras. The full inclusion list is on each trip's own page. You arrange your own travel unless we agree otherwise.
How many people join each trip?
A maximum of 8, by design: so everyone gets Daniel's attention and we can sometimes have a quieter spot to ourselves.
Do I need a certain bouldering grade?
It makes no difference whether you started in the gym recently or have been climbing for years. We choose the lines to match your level.
What about the weather?
Outdoor means the weather counts. If it rains or freezes we move the date or switch to a dry spot. If a date can't go ahead at all, you get a voucher for the full amount: you lose nothing and secure a replacement date.
