Fontainebleau · Camping & accommodation

Camping &
Fontainebleau.

Everything you need to know about where to stay, campsites and what to pack. And how my guided trips take the whole accommodation question off your hands.

Where to stay

Four options.

My honest take — I know all four from my own experience.

Campsite

Camping Île de Boulancourt (Boulancourt)

Our home base. Right next to the Buthiers bouldering area: short walks, quiet, by the water. This is where we stay with the group on the spring and summer trips.

Daniel: „Where I always stay with the group."
Campsite

Camping la Musardière (Milly-la-Forêt)

One of the best-known climbers' campsites, close to Trois Pignons, affordable and centrally located.

Daniel: „A solid alternative in the west of the area."
Accommodation

Chalet / mobile home (from October)

From October the nights get too cold for a tent. That's when I rent mobile homes for the group right on the campsite. Solid walls, real beds, short walks to the rock. The trip with chalet accommodation costs €699 per person.

Daniel: „Autumn trips: chalet instead of tent, €699 instead of €649."
Hotel

Hotels in Fontainebleau town

Pricier, but with every comfort. Fontainebleau has a pretty town centre, a good mix of bouldering and town life.

Daniel: „For those who want to eat and sleep well in the evening."
Easier with me

I take care of the accommodation.

If you come with me, you don't have to sort out camping or accommodation yourself. I book whatever suits the group. You pay once and get everything.

On top of that, I know the best spots, times and lines. Of course you can head to Fontainebleau on your own. But then you'll first lose time finding your feet — time I put in long ago.
